I have often heard my coworkers talking about going to the supply cabinet to "borrow" pens or pencils. But recently, I have noticed that company Blackberries and laptops are being taken as well. Not just out of the cabinet, but to the home of the employee guilty of the theft.
I guess it isn't really surprising though because so many people take from the office and feel that they are entitled in some way to have the supplies. No way is what I say. There really seems to be a lack of respect in the office these days. This article, Human Resource Executive Online - Story, is one that explains some of the bad things about stealing from the office.
