Staples is Recycling in Canada

I hear that Staples is proposing a way to recycle one million tonor and ink cartridges by earth day 2009. I think that is a great idea. Read here for more details, Staples Canada launches the Million Cartridge Challenge.

I love how all of the big companies are doing their part no matter what it is. And yes, they may not reuse and recycle everything, but every little bit matters, no matter how big or small.

Staples is Losing Business

Earlier this year, speculation was that the office supply giant Staples would be the most likely in its sector to survive the weakening economy. It may survive, but it is still feeling the impact.

The company reported 16 percent loss in profit. Mainly this is due to the cutbacks by the larger corporations of purchases. One such client cut back a hefty 640,000 dollars!
