For the next 18 months, the program is suspended so Staples can focus on paying off the debt involved in the Corporate Express deal. From the deal, staples hopes to gain more business in the corporate deliveries which was Corporate Express' specialty. The shareholders for staples should be glad though because this deal should be an improvement for both companies. Ok, what is the deal with disposable DVD's. Now come on. Why would you buy a DVD for 5 bucks just to have it inactivate in 48 hours. Why not just buy the actual DVD and keep it forever.Let's not also remember that as the world is trying to go green, environmentally friendly, this scheme is completely the opposite. It is environmentally unfriendly! I guess Staples has decided to take a risk with the new "disposable" DVD's. I really don't think they will take off but read this for youself Slashdot | The One-Use, Self-Destructing DVD Returns. There are these new DVD's out on the market that only play for 48 hours and become unplayable after that point. Now what is the point of that. I can see making a cheaper DVD for on trips that people can buy, but what is the point of only designing them to play for half and hour. Well, you can read the article and decide if it is a good idea for yourself Flexplay DVDs to be sold at Staples. Tags: 48 hour dvd • ez d • flexplay dvds • staples • 0 Comments. - Permalink |
