A Business Grows Out of Family Tradition

Too often these days businesses are geared towards selling mass products that may be useful but do not have the meaning behind them to prove important to consumers. One woman did however start her business based on a personal memory of the school supplies her grandparents sent to her at the beginning of every school year. Green School Supplies are Great

My kids just went back to school and I read this article on green school supplies, Green back-to-school: the write stuff — Plenty Magazine. My youngest has asthma so when I read about the volatile organic compounds it made me feel better that I could get things that didn't have an irritating odor.

There were other suggestions too such as asbestos free chalk and 100% recycled markers. Great for the environment and the classroom.

Times are difficult nowadays. It is just imperative to look for ways to cut costs. During the back-to-school season, what did you do to limit your spending?
