I recently read an article that put me at ease about my Staples stocks. I had been hearing that the office supply sector was a little rough for the first quarter so I was a little hesitant about keeping them. The office supply giant Corporate Express has reported that earnings are up compared to the first quarter year of 2007. According to management, this means that shareholders can expect stability in today's confusing macro environment. The company has reported 23.8 million dollars for the first quarter of 2008 compared to 23.2 million for the beginning of last year.
