I know that no one wants to take work home with them, but sometimes ideas from the office can be helpful. For example, our table that our phone sits on at home just screams for everyone to throw the clutter on it.
I recently purchased, from an office supply store, a base to put under the phone that had compartments for papers and pens. It really works well.
