With budget cuts happening in schools all over the United States, teachers are having to pay for supplies more and more out of their own pockets. On average teachers spend about $500 of their own money on supplies for their classes. And with the program that reimburses teachers for these expenses also experiencing millions worth of budget cuts, it is not surprising that parents are asked to help out.
